MOONSTONE LABRADORS Health Guarantee For terms of clarity, MOONSTONE Labradors will be referred to as "Seller" and _______________________ shall be referred to as "Buyer". Upon visual inspection by the buyer, the puppy appears to be in overall good health. With the following exception(s): ________________________________, the puppy has no existing health concerns to either the Seller (initial) ____ or the Buyer (initial) ____. The Buyer has five (5) working days to have the puppy examined by a veterinarian. If the puppy is found to be in unsatisfactory health at that time, the puppy may be returned for a full refund. Transportation costs for the return of the puppy are the buyer's responsibility. Puppies bred by MOONSTONE Labradors carry a HIP and EYE GUARANTEE:   ***MOONSTONE Labrador puppies are guaranteed against Canine Hip Dysplasia for 12 months. Hip evaluations can be performed at 4 months, no earlier, by the PennHIP process of certification. Abnormal hips are considered to be a Distraction Index of .7 or greater.  If a hip problem should arise before the age of 12 months, MOONSTONE Labradors must be furnished with a copy of the PennHIP report verifying a dysplastic condition. Preliminary OFA reports will not be accepted. Owner must have fed the puppy a good quality Large Breed Puppy food provable by receipts for this guarantee to apply. The hip guarantee is conditional upon no dietary supplements having been given to the puppy. The hip guarantee is conditional upon no jumping to or from anything over the height of 24 inches, no stair climbing, jumping in/out of truck. AT NO TIME...is a MOONSTONE PUPPY IS TO BE JOGGED/RUN for any DISTANCE(S) or time interval(s)  DURING THE GUARANTEE PERIOD...this will cause permanent skeletal damage. ***MOONSTONE Labrador puppies will be guaranteed free from genetic eye diseases for a period of 12 months. If an eye problem should arise before 12 months, MOONSTONE Labradors must be furnished with a copy of the CERF report. Any medical expenses in regards to diagnosis and/or treatment of a genetic hip or eye problem are the sole responsibility of the Buyer for the life of the dog, as are any other veterinary expenses. When the following requirements have been met, this guarantee will be in effect and honored by MOONSTONE Labradors: ~~~The dog's AKC registered name must contain "MOONSTONES or MOONSTONE'S or MOONSTONE," (i.e., MOONSTONES Big Deal; MOONSTONE's Too Good To Be True; Heaven's MOONSTONE Babe). ~~~The affected dog's AKC ownership shall revert back to breeder. ~~~The dog must not have been bred. ~~~A copy of the reports from PennHIP and/or OFA and/or CERF must be sent to us for our records. ~~~Your veterinarian must send a letter to MOONSTONE Labradors stating/confirming the dog has been spayed or neutered. When the Seller is satisfied that a genetic problem does exist, that the dog has never been bred, that the dog has been spayed or neutered, that the dog's AKC registration has been signed over to breeder,  and it's registered name contains "MOONSTONES, MOONSTONE'S, or MOONSTONE", Seller will provide you with a replacement puppy of similar breeding, Seller's choice. If the price of the replacement puppy is greater than the original puppy purchased, the Buyer will pay the difference. The Buyer will assume the expense of the transportation of the replacement puppy. Seller has option of reclaiming affected dog. If the buyer maintains possession of the affected dog, at no time may the affected dog be sold for money or services. At no time will the Seller make a refund of money. This Condition of Sale and Guarantee is not transferable under any circumstances. RIGHT OF FIRST REFUSAL: If, at ANY time in the life of your MOONSTONE Labrador, it becomes necessary for any reason to give up ownership, MOONSTONE Labradors would appreciate the primary opportunity to obtain ownership of the dog. The Buyer understands these terms and conditions and acknowledges by his/her signature that this is a legally binding document.
